Final Programming Touches Completed! 14th Annual Healthcare Internet Conference

by User Not Found | Jul 21, 2010
We are pleased to release the conference brochure for the 14th Annual Healthcare Internet Conference, which will be held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas beginning November 15-17, 2010.  It took a ton of work to get the program in place, but it was also a lot of fun. Download a copy of it from our Web site. We think it is offers a wide and strong variety of educational and network opportunities. First, thanks to all who submitted speaker proposals. We got an all time high number of proposals this year, well over 80 proposals to fill only 30 speaking slots. Gosh, it was tough to whittle it down to those 30, but we tried to pick a good mix of topics, organizations, regions of the country and, whenever possible, to include a well-documented case study. Secondly, thanks to all the faculty who agreed to be part of the Conference this year. We have a faculty of 50+ healthcare executives and Web gurus who are willing to share their successes and challenges with us. We can't wait, and we appreciate your contributions. In fact, this year we have six strong keynote sessions including:
  • Scott Linabarger from the Cleveland Clinic
  • Rebecca Broering from UW Health
  • Brian Solis, FutureWorks and author of Engage
  • Rob Curley, Executive Editor, Greenspun Interactive and the Las Vegas Sun
  • David Harlow, blogger and lawyer, HealthBlawg
  • Mark Gothberg, presenting the 11th Annual e-health leadership awards.
Add to that, 30 concurrent presentations in four tracks:
  • Social Media
  • Strategy Development
  • Patient and Physician Connectivity
  • Mobile and Multimedia Strategies
The Exhibit Hall will also be a great place to learn. A full 3-1/2 months before the Conference even starts, we've already sold-out 90% of the exhibit space. So we'll have a great set of vendors adding to the educational mix. Look for future posts about our exhibitors and sponsors. In an effort to make the 14th Annual HIC as interactive as possible, we are launching a WAPsite for use by attendees on-site in Vegas (and an accompanying opt-in mobile messaging program). We'll share more about those two offerings soon. We've re-launched the Conference networking site at www.healthcareinternetconference.com. Be sure to check it out and join the Conference online community. And, the official hashtag for the Conference is #hcic. So download the brochure, let us know what you think about the programming choices and we'll look forward to seeing y'all in Vegas in November.
