How AdventHealth’s Marketing Team Measures AI ROI
This article was written for Greystone.Net by Jessica Levco, a freelance healthcare writer and event strategist.

Anthony Cadieux, VP of Performance Marketing at AdventHealth, encourages healthcare marketing leaders to look beyond “hours saved” when measuring AI’s value. For him, the fuller picture includes capacity created, cost avoidance, speed, quality, decision-making, and team member experience.
At our AI Think Tank (right after #HCIC26 concludes, Oct. 28 from 12:45 to 5 p.m.), he’ll lead this presentation, “Measuring the Real ROI of AI.” Here’s an inside look at how he’s thinking about AI’s ROI and how this mindset is shaping the way his team uses new technology:
Productivity. At his session, he’ll share more details about a project that would’ve required 1,000 hours a year from his team. AI now automates nearly all of that work. “In the past, we would’ve either had to hire someone or we just wouldn’t have been able to do the project at all,” Cadieux says. For AdventHealth, productivity also means making sure team members have access to the AI tools and training they need. AdventHealth team members have enterprise access to ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot and AI built into its marketing technology tools. They also receive team-specific training with Microsoft and OpenAI leaders. AdventHealth also has a Chief AI Officer who leads weekly training and shares guidance on effective prompts and use cases.
Creativity. AdventHealth uses A/B and multivariate testing across patient-facing pages and campaigns. The team’s data shows that more creative variations can improve experiment performance, but team capacity has limited how many variations they could build. “Because of AI, we’ve been able to iterate more easily, without having to double or triple the amount of the typical FTE flow that it would require,” Cadieux says. “Our experimentation programs have been performing better as a result.”
Team member experience. Each year, AdventHealth sends out a survey to their corporate marketing team to measure team member satisfaction with AI. The survey asks about team members’ comfort with AI, how they use it and their feedback. Then, Cadieux shares the results with the team. “Team members are way more satisfied when they have access to the right tools,” Cadieux says. “And we’ve seen that people who railed against AI in the beginning see the majority of our team has adopted AI. They start to think, ‘I’m really a minority here and maybe I should get on the train.’”
