Over half of US social network users will be millennials and Gen Z by 2027, according to new data from Insider Intelligence/eMarketer. 

More details for marketers to consider:

• As the number of Gen Z and millennial social media users climbs through 2027, the number of Gen X and baby boomer users will decline.
• Gen Z prefers TikTok, Snapchat and Instagram to other platforms, although there are more Gen Z teens on Snapchat than Gen Z adults.
• Millennials are 40% of the user base on Reddit, and they also use TikTok, although not as much as Gen Z. In the meantime, this group will be abandoning Facebook and X (Twitter).
